It has steel fittings, so use the proper tools to remove it or you will round off the flare nut. There is a special wrench made for use on flare fittings. Here's how you can find out for sure: look under the truck at the fuel tank, and find the lines coming from the fuel pump (they'll probably run from the top of the tank) follow them downstream for a bit, and you'll find the fuel filter. If you don't find the filter before you get to the engine, chances are the filter is above the tank. I could be wrong, but I think it’s above the fuel tank.
