are you talking medium duty ? if so it could be any number of things 5 sp saganaw to 7 sp eaton fullers and alison auto 545 to 6 and 7 series deponding on engine gas or diesel and how orderd as ther were 366 and 427 tall gas cat diesels and to many trans options to list

If its not an overdrive transmission, look at the pan, if its square with a corner cut off then its a 350, if the pan looks like a state then its a 400, if its an overdrive trans then it should be a 700r4. If it’s a manual trans then I have no idea

If it’s automatic then it’s most likely a TH400. If it’s manual it’s most likely an SM465.
