if you do not want to replace the motor any time soon, get it to a qualified mech. I had the same issue with mine but mine was in a half ton with only 500 miles on it. At 1500 miles it was still doing it. well I had it to two big gm dealers, and they said keep driving it. well I went to a very small town chevy dealer, and after a intake replacement, the intake was cracked in the rear part, towards the center of the curve if that makes sense. but at the same time they found issues with the wiring with the injectors. but alot of the misfire was because of the air, so these years of the 350 late 98 and 99 and 00 had a lot of issues. I do know of 2 other people that had the same issue. But try a small down dealer first, i hate big town dealers

Sounds like the fuel injectors.... or the injector unit itself..... that is what is making it run rich..... not an air leak......

If you have an intake manifold leak it would make whatever cylinder/s it is close to actually run lean,so you end up with a lean misfire, the 02 sensor picks up the extra oxygen from the lean misfire and interprets as a lean running condition so it sends a command to richen the system, and so on.This will continue until the vacuum leak is repaired. So yes repairing the intake manifold leak will probably solve all of your problems
