Your driveshaft may have to be either shortened or lengthened too. Chevy trucks are so common you could probably find one in a salvage yard and pull everything you need. Take out standard, put in the auto. You might have to change the yolk on the driveshaft (the part of the driveshaft the slides into the tail end of the trans). Change the fly wheel to a flex plate (this bolts to the crank shaft on the back of the engine covered by the trans). Get a trans cooler unless the radiator all ready has a cooler in it.
