I don't think many people could tolerate the confinement. You also must have a safe place to park each night.

A pop-up camper at a facility with power, water, sewer, and internet access would be much more convenient and safer. Not as cheap as truck camper but solves most of the issues you will face with a truck camper.

Good luck. Once you get your degree, your lifestyle should improve greatly!

I can imagine the small area in that thing. Lived for a week on a trip to Florida in a pop up camper, not the same thing I know, but still.
What I would worry about is security, sanitary disposal facilities, and parking. Campgrounds for it would charge you. You got that all arranged? Parking lots are not safe bets and the cops may make you move for trespassing. If you got all this covered, then I guess it will be OK.
======================================
Pop up camper I mentioned was the tent type, no shower or toilet facility at all, just beds, sink, propane stove, and a cooler. The guy below probably means a type that has hard sides and roof built so it lowers so it can be towed. In all these truck camper or pop ups; the weather in the area during the school year should also be taken in to account. Believe me it will affect your comfort level and safety

Personally, I couldn't do it, and I think you would get sick of it. But then again I don't know you .. So, if you're up for the challenge, I would say go for it =]
