The introduction of Colorado will make five all-new Chevy Trucks since the announcement of the Chevy Avalanche at the 1999 North American International Auto Show.If you ask anyone what they think of Chevy trucks, they will often answer quality, powerful, comfortable. Resolved Question: Can a 1954 Chevy truck be towed?
My fiance has a 1954 Chevy Truck - 1/2 ton and we need to move it 300 miles to our hometown. I was wondering if we could tow it with a tow dolly or if it does indeed need to be flatbedded. My fiance says that 10 years ago it needed to be flatbedded because the wheelbase was too large for the regular tow dolly. I wasn't sure if there was any advancements or new dollies to tow this truck. Thanks!

Well the other day I cranked my truck and it idled fine reved up fine and idled smooth in the drivway but when I go to drive it about 4 houses down it will die like I am running out of gas and it will not get gas to the carb then but it is pumping to the carb just not comming out of the carb when I hit the throttle now if I let it sit for a few days it will do the same thing the carb is an eldabrock and I put a new fuel pump but it was for a 305 but brand new from auto-zone but I have a 350 in my truck I was thinking it could be the pump but I am pretty sure they are the same is there anybody that knows for sure they are not the same pump or can help me with this problem this motor is out of an 81 caprice/impala 1 of those ....thanks I have three lines comming out of my pump 1 to the carb 1 to tank I think the other is the return line to tank

1979 chevy truck 1/2 ton. Has a clonk when put into gear. I have been told that I may get away with shimming it, but thats one thing I have never done. Any links to pictures or stematics would be helpful to see how it is done. Thanks. Drive shaft and u joints are fine, but thanks. It is difinatley in the differential. I have been driving it everyday for the last 4 years. It does not seem to be getting any worse, it is just starting to annoy me. The auto zone link is great, thanks. I like the idea of a salvage replacment also.
