They get about 10 mpg. They are hard to drive compared to today's cars and trucks. You can buy all the parts for the whole truck but you may have to wait a day or two to fix it should a problem arise. Some of them may have to come from a restoration place not just a parts store. Think gas mileage and the cost of repairs. Someone pointed out it's 55 years old, too. Not many parts are going to be in existence for a truck that old when repairs are required. It'll probably be costly to insure as well if you're thinking of it as an "historic" vehicle and registering it as such with the state for a 16 year old. Probably not.
