You have disc drum brakes with the disc on the front. The first thing to do is check the master cylinder to see if it is low on fluid. If it is you will have to inspect all brake parts, pipes and hoses to see if you have a leak. If you find a leak, fix that first and then recheck. If you find no leaks, you have a pressure leak that is usually inside the master cylinder. You can overhaul, but it is probably easier to just buy and install a new cylinder. Then you will have to flush and bleed the brake system completely. Good luck.

there is a lot to take care of and a good brake shop is your only hope, get to it and get everything done at one time. No way to do this one part at a time.

sorry, can’t help you if you don’t even know what kind of brake system you have. You have to at least attemp to help yourself, we sure can’t see the truck from here.

if your pedal is sinking to the floor its possible its the master cylinder going bad,that truck should have drum on the rear and disc on the front,you need to check and make sure it hasn’t blown a wheel cylinder on it,if it has this will explain it going way down to the floor,but this really needs to be checked out ,it sounds like it might be a little un-safe to drive like this,good luck on it.

the truck is old, the brakes are old and you need to check everything.. but if you take it to a brake specialist..don’t just accept their word for what worn out parts they suggest it needs. Make them show you a good one compared to your bad one.. the job done at a legit brake specialty shop is probably your best bet, but remember, the technician is being paid not only by the hour but also by the job.. if he can build the ticket.. then he makes more.. you can also go to a reputable full automotive shop and they will do a good job.. but most of them, in fact all of them will tell you that you should replace the old worn out parts.. and that their warrenty is no good unless you do.. they will fix it, but with old suspect parts..there ain’t no guarantees.. you have front disc and shoe backs. you can probably expect to lay out a couple of hundred bucks.. if it is less than that.. consider yourself lucky.. good luck

look to the inside of wheel on all 4 corners for wetness. Front it might be a brake line, back it might be a wheel cylinder.

well first …are you losing brake fluid? if not, replace the master cylinder. if you are then you need to find out from where…like a whel cylinder or brake line or even a brake caliper. just look around a bit uder the truck and look for any “new wet spots”.

if your pedal is sinking to the floor, you probably need a master cylinder, or rear wheel cylinders or you might have another leak in the brake fluid system somewhere else. you should have front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, which should probably get inspected too. hope this helps.
