There are a few things I can think of. First, make sure you are not restricting air through your radiator, I live in Alaska and most of the professionals have a "snorkel". This allows your truck to take its air in from a level above your plow. Second is resistance. Snow plows WILL make your vehicle work harder. Also the weight of your plow will make it work harder. And remember your tranny cooler. Its something alot of people look past, and it is costly if you blow your tranny. I would look into a good air intake system, forget the paper filters. Here in Alaska running plows is BIG money, I have made over 6000 in a days time. But if you dont put everything you can into your vehicle you will lose.

As said above about the panel... There is a plastic piece that goes from directly under the radiator to the front crossmember for the front suspension. Is this still in place? Or can you alter a piece to fit there if the plow bracket interferes?

Also do you have the fan shroud in place?

Maybe you should ditch the pulley driven fan and fan shroud and get an electric unit.

the air probably can't get into the grill because the plow is blocking it,

did you you take the skid plate or panels off that are under the front end these have to stay on to help funnel the air through the radiator otherwise the air will just go to the ground
