I would have to say that youu would need a new oil pump but before you do that get it checked at a shop they can put a guage where the oil pressure switch goes and check real pressure you may have a bad switch or gauge.

Friist how many miles have you got on the truck. If it is less than a 15000.00 miles. Have the oil presure chached. To make sure are get proper reading. You are mostly run 10 W 30 weight oil. 20 W 50 in the summer. This will bring the oil presure up. If it is wear on the engine. If the Tec; say you need a oil pump. Then I would put one in. If you don't it could cause you a motor.

If you have no oil leaks i would suspect your oil pump needs to be replaced, you may get lucky and find that the pick up screen is cloged though and only have to replace that. Also check to see what the minimum psi is for your truck, i know for my dodge ram the minimum is 8 psi, so they can run pretty low and still be ok. I would also suggest that before you do the work to get the pump off, put a mechanical guage in place of your factory guage, electrical guages can be off by 20-30 psi sometimes so it would be better to first check to see if you have any real problem at all. Good luck.

you need an oil pump. or you could try using a thinner weight oil and see what that does. I would also get Lucas Oil Stabilizer and put in with the oil, or use synthetic oil.
