		<description>307 olds ,I believe the starter is on the drivers side and the distributor turns the opposite direction as the GM 305 engine.</description>

		<description>If that truck originally had a diesel in it they replaced them with olds engines. That way they could use the original transmission. There is a 9 digit number on that engine some where and it is a derivative of the VIN. If the first digit is a 3 it&#039;s an Olds engine and the second digit will tell the year. They used numbers up to 79 and started with the alphabet in 1980 starting with A the next number is the assembly plant and the last 6 are the last 6 numbers of the VIN of the vehicle it came out of.</description>
