I have a 1990 chevy truck (might be a silverado). The brakes gave out and I just put a new master cylinder in the truck. How do I adjust the rear brakes?

u can onty adjust the rear. although your rear brakes are self adjusting via e break they might need additional adjusting. use e brake after adjustment as much as possible to keep adjusted. take off your drum u will c a flat bar round in the center conected to both shoes. turn the dial a little bit then replace drum and turn to center shoes. u mite have to do this several times. what you are looking for is contact of shoes with drum with no strong grab. once this is achieved put tire on and u r good. there also is an oblong hole n the back of your brake plate. u can adjust with a screw driver the same dial but i would not recomend till u have taken the drum off and know how everything works. good luck

did u bench bleed the mastercylinder and the brakes. you probably have air in your lines, but thats another question.
