Hey man I had a 2001 chevy Blazer ZR2 and I hate to say it but I got rid of it a couple months ago and promised myself I would never buy another chevy because of all the work done while she still had under 70 rounds. I had to replace two fuel pumps, the last reason she wouldnt start was the transmission.. thats when I couldnt take it anymore, buy a Jeep best decision I ever made

With all the money you wasted on parts that didn’t do any good and probably weren’t bad you could have had a mechanic troubleshoot and fix it and been driving it now. Throwing parts at a problem on the hope that it might fix it is not a smart use of your hard earned money.

Have you checked for spark while cranking? If there is no spark then it could be the pickup or ignition module. If there is spark put a small amount of gas down the throttle body and see if it starts and runs for a second. If it does you have a fuel delivery problem. Hope this helps.

sure thing partner……its not in proper timing.
loosen the distributor and move it one way or the other, crank the car till you have a back fire or it kicks over.
Just to be sure its getting fuel pour a small amount and i mean small into the carb and give it a few minutes to dissipate then crank. (or use spray starting fluid)
the motor should do something if you move the distributer, then you know its getting fire….
also if some body reversed the distributor cap on you it could be 180 degrees out, so make sure the firing order is correct.
(to be sure which is number one wire, loosen that spark plug and crank the motor till you here a whosh….then its on its firing stroke then make sure the spark plug wire is in the right hole in the distributor cap that the rotor is pointing to…..)
sounds like some one is having a little fun with you bud!

i own a 94 silverado 5.7 and mine did the same 3 weeks ago so try tapping the cylinoid on the front of the starter with a hammer it may have a dead spot if it starts then you may want to think about getting a starter

was the fuel pump primed before it was installed. sometimes they come out bad from the box.Did you check the fuel pump relay? Was the fuel pump from autozone?

You need to find out if it’s fuel or spark related, does it have spark at the plug? is there fuel pressure? is the ECM receiving a signal from the crank sensor?
Just because you replaced the fuel pump doesn’t mean the pump is working, you can have a open fuse, open relay, bad ground, open wire to the pump.
you need to determine if it’s spark or a fuel problem, and post results,
that way our help will be geared towards the problem.
I can tell you to replace more parts, but I think you threw enough parts at it.

well you need to do some checking befor e you do anything else to your vehicle, first remove the gas cap and have someone turn the key on, not try to start it and you should hear the fuel pump run for 3 seconds, try this 2 or 3 times, if you dont hear it find out what is the problem. if it is running then loosen the fuel line at the throttle body, the large one and turn the key on and see if it is pumping gas to there. dont try to start the vehicle , just turn on the key. if you are getting fuel, take a plug wire iff at the spark plug put a screw driver in the end if the wire hold it about 1-8 inch from something steel and turn it over to see if there is any fire, if not find out why. there is always a possibility a timing chain has jumped, worn out so i hope this will help you find out the problem. good luck
