  This is how my 1984 Nissan is… Most trucks I’ve seen are similar.

  4 wheel low is pulled all the way back…
  The next notch down is Neutral…
  The next in 4 wheel high…
  and fully down is 2 wheel high…

  It’s tough to find neutral… It’s not obvious…

  all depends on what transfercase you have.

  i had a np203 that was converted to part time and it went

  then theres the np205……….. but i forgot how the hell that thing goes sorry hopefully you have one of the other two concidering its a 1/2 ton i doubt you have the np205 anyways. you can look on the back side of the transfercase for a easy way to tell. if theres no tag just google the three and look for a picture of one close to yours. all three are pretty different
